Weight Management (ages 18 and over)
- Private Weight Management
Private weight management programs include a complete nutrition assessment with a registered dietitian, body composition and metabolic rate analysis, personalized diet plan and weekly follow-up sessions.
- Group Weight Management
Diet Bootcamp is a 6-week group program led by a registered dietitian. It includes weekly weigh-ins, weekly nutrition discussions, online support, body composition and metabolic rate analysis. The group program can be brought to your location.
- Maintenance Program
The 15-minute weigh-ins provide ongoing monitoring and support. The program is available in a package of six onsite visits.
You can also visit Virtua's Center for Weight Management in South Jersey for an individualized Body Composition Analysis, which includes nutrition recommendations from a registered dietitian.
Kids and Teens Nutrition (ages 8 to 17)
Private nutrition education for kids, ages 8-12. Participants will learn about proper portion sizes, healthy snacks for home and on the go, healthy choices from all the food groups, how to read a nutrition facts label and positive body image. Includes a one-hour initial visit and two 30-minute follow up visits.
- Teens Wellness Jumpstart
Private nutrition education for teens, ages 13-17. Participants will learn about proper portion sizes, energizing snacks, healthy grab and go foods, reading a nutrition facts label and positive body image. Includes a one-hour initial visit and two 30-minute follow up visits.
- Kids Can Cook
A monthly, interactive cooking workshop for kids 8-12. Kids will help the dietitian prepare a healthy, seasonal food and sample the finished product.
- Food as Fuel Seminar A one-hour overview of fueling your game to the next level available to any size group. Topics discussed include nutrients needed for training and performance; food and fluid intake before, during and after exercise; as well as timing of meals and snacks. Each seminar is made sport-specific. No limit on group size. May be held at an offsite location or one of Virtua's three fitness centers.
- Food as Fuel Workshop
A sports nutrition workshop focusing on high school and club athletes/teams. Series includes three one-hour group sessions at either a team location or at Virtua fitness center. Tailored for each sport and broken down into three specific and detailed discussions: Training, Performance, and Recovery Nutrition.
A private session with a registered dietitian for individualized nutrition recommendations.
