Eligibility

Here at Virtua, we want you to know how valuable you are, right from your very first day:


  • Full-time and benefit-eligible part-time employees can participate in the 401(k) on day one of employment (RN retirement benefits are provided in accordance with nursing union contracts)
  • Full-time and benefit-eligible part-time employees receive most benefits on the first day of the month following date of hire

Flexible Spending Accounts

Virtua is committed to keeping your life—at work and at home—as rewarding as possible. We’ll ensure you get everything you need, by maintaining low benefit costs with attractive flexible payment accounts:

  • Healthcare accounts with a maximum annual contribution of $5,000
  • Dependent care accounts with a maximum annual contribution of $5,000

  • Smoking cessation, including a tobacco-free environment policy and $0 co-pay on all tobacco cessation medications

Retirement and Savings Plans

Medical Dental Vision Prescription Coverage

We’ll show our appreciation here at Virtua by offering you broad coverage and minimal co-pays with preferred providers:

  • QualCare HMO, POS, PPO

  • Medco prescription coverage requires $5 co-pay on generic drugs with the exception of medications for the following conditions: asthma, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and tobacco cessation

  • Horizon Blue Cross dental coverage, with no-deductible options

  • EyeMed supplemental vision benefits

Child Development Center Voorhees

When you work for Virtua, finding quality child care is convenient and affordable. At the Virtua Child Development Center (CDC), you’ll have access to an early childhood program, preschool and full-day kindergarten. Our 39-member staff collectively has over 340 years of education experience. And because our CDC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, you can rest assured your child is experiencing a curriculum that’s research-backed and developmentally appropriate. Here’s a look at what the CDC provides:

  • Quality programs at discounted prices
  • Programs for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old
  • Extended hours of operation (6:15 am to 7:30 pm)

  • An Open door policy for parents
