Medical Insurance Yes Yes No No No No Virtua offers medical coverage through QualCare: HMO, POS & PPO. Coverage effective 1st day of the month following employment.
Prescription Yes Yes No No No No Employees with medical coverage through Virtua have varying levels of prescription coverage: Generic $5 co-pay, Brand Formulary and Non-Formulary co-pays vary depending on availability of generic drugs. Cost savings for 90-day maintenance drugs, through mail order. Coverage effective 1st day of the month following employment.
Dental Insurance Yes Yes No No No No Three levels of coverage are offered for dental insurance: Primary(A), Advantage(B) and Premier(C). Each has different employee co-pay amounts and various levels of coverage. Coverage effective 1st day of the month following employment.

Employees not enrolled in Qualcare have the option to enroll in EyeMed vision. This plan pay's annual for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Coverage effective 1st day of the month following employment.

Extended Sick Time (EST) Yes Yes Yes No No No Accrued time that can be used when employees are absent from work due to documented illness that exceeds 3 consecutive days in first seven calendar days of illness. EST can be accessed after 90-day probationary period is satisfied. EST may be used from the first day for Workers' Compensation.
Holiday Pay Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes No Virtua recognizes six holidays New Year's, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Premium pay varies by holiday and/or union contract.
Paid Time Off (PTO) Yes Yes Yes No No No Paid Time Off is provided for vacation, holidays, personal days and short term illnesses. PTO accrues on hours worked and length of service. There is a 90 day waiting period (except for holidays) for new employees. Staff: <4 years of service earn up to 26 PTO days/yr; >4 and <9 years earn up to 31 PTO days;>9 years earn up to 36 PTO days. Managers: <4 years earn up to 31 PTO days; >4 years earn up to 38 PTO days per year.
