The CHOP at Virtua Relationship

A-Z Index

In 2011, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Virtua announced a partnership through which CHOP doctors would provide pediatric services at Virtua Voorhees and Virtua Memorial.

The CHOP at Virtua relationship is collaboration between two organizations with a mutual commitment to quality and service excellence. CHOP is recognized nationally as the premier children’s hospital and Virtua provides a launching pad for children with over 8,000 births a year. CHOP brings added specialties to an already well-established pediatric program at Virtua. This partnership adds a rich, new dimension to pediatric care in South Jersey.

The relationship began with CHOP- physicians providing emergency services and care in Virtua’s pediatric inpatient units and pediatric intensive care units. Today, the relationship has grown.
