Pelvic Medicine

A-Z Index

The pelvic floor is a collection of muscles, ligaments, and tissues that support the organs in a woman's pelvis including the:

  • Uterus
  • Vagina
  • Bladder
  • Urethra
  • Rectum

Pelvic floor disorders affect almost half of all women during their lifetime, but they should not be considered a normal part of aging or something that women should “put up with.” Most conditions are highly treatable with therapies that may eliminate both discomfort and inconvenience.
