What is biopuncture?
Biopuncture is a steroid-free injection treatment for muscular, joint and other medical disorders. It utilizes low doses of FDA-regulated homeopathic remedies to safely and effectively stimulate and support the body’s healing processes.

What is the scope of biopuncture?
Biopuncture is typically used to alleviate pain and improve function associated with:

  • Sprains and Overuse Strains
  • Arthritis and Bursitis
  • Joint Disorders (Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hip, Knee, Ankle)
  • Tendonitis and Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
  • Sports Injuries
  • Neck and Back Pain
  • Sciatica and Herniated or Degenerated Discs
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • TMJ Syndrome

It is also very useful for medical conditions such as:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Asthma and Allergies
  • Colds and Flu
  • Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy

How does biopuncture work?
Biopuncture injections are administered using tiny needles.  The injections are given in a quick and precise manner and can be delivered just under the skin or deeper into the muscles and tendons. Treatments are usually administered once a week for four weeks depending on the severity of the disorder. Patients experience minimal or no discomfort during the procedures.

Holistic approach to pain
Biopuncture balances the body’s natural healing process instead of suppressing it. Anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen, naproxen, and diclofenac are popular treatments for pain.  Each of these drugs carries strong warnings about heart disease, stroke, stomach ulcers, high blood pressure and asthma.  Steroids and cortisones are also common treatments. These medications are associated with more severe side-effects including an increased risk of tendon ruptures.

A holistic approach to pain management recognizes that inflammation is part of the body’s natural healing process. If we overly suppress it with anti-inflammatory medicine or steroids and cortisone, we can interfere with the healing. However, long-term or severe inflammation left untreated can lead to hardening or scarring of structures resulting in decreased function.

Biopuncture and ultra-low dose homeopathic remedies gently balance inflammation and encourage the natural healing process instead of aggressively suppressing it. The result of biopuncture is not only improved pain and function, but also true healing for long-term improvement.

Always tell your primary doctor if you are using an alternative therapy such as biopuncture.
