4/22/2013 — Virtua Memorial opened its new Pediatric Pavilion designed to care for both inpatients and outpatients under the age of 18 in a centralized state-of-the-art location. The new $9.5-million expansion is equipped with both emergency treatment beds and inpatient beds and features a central nursing station. The waiting area for the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) is now separate from the adult ED. This new pediatric care model ensures that all pediatric patients receiving treatment there benefit from the efficiency, immediacy and continuity of care that it provides.
4/19/2013 — Virtua has partnered with the American Cancer Society to recruit individuals who are between the ages of 30 and 65 years old and have never been diagnosed with cancer for a landmark new research study called Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).
