Virtua and CHOP team up to provide excellence in pediatric care

Virtua’s partnership with the nationally renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) enables children and their families in the South Jersey area to receive the best possible health care.

CHOP-employed physicians provide pediatric services in the following areas at Virtua Voorhees and Virtua Memorial:

  • Inpatient pediatric units
  • Pediatric intensive care units (PICU) - Virtua Voorhees only
  • Emergency departments  

Virtua Voorhees hospital has a dedicated Women and Children’s Pavilion that includes a:

  • State-of-the-art inpatient pediatric unit
  • Pediatric intensive care unit
  • Pediatric emergency department
  • Pediatric and teen playrooms
  • Pediatric garden and play area
  • Family lounge

In the Spring of 2012, Virtua will also open an expansive outpatient center adjacent to the hospital where CHOP physicians will have a substantial presence.
