Virtua can help individuals make the transition from dreaming a healthier lifestyle to achieving their realistic goals. Virtua approaches health and wellness from a medically-integrated perspective. The William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness and the new Virtua Health and Wellness Center at Washington Township are two state-of-the-art facilities that offer a large selection of individualized health, fitness and educational programs for community members as well as patients who have chronic health conditions.

Both facilities provide classes and seminars offered by health and fitness professionals on a variety of wellness topics. Memberships begin with a personalized health assessment conducted by a degreed fitness specialist. The comprehensive analysis includes:

Body Composition Analysis through Lunar iDXA

As seen on the hit television show "The Biggest Loser," the Lunar iDXA--a leading-edge technology in bone mineral density testing and total body composition analysis--supports weight management, sports medicine and fitness programs by accurately measuring:

  • Body fat
  • Lean tissue
  • Bone mass distribution

Virtua is the only healthcare organization in the region to use the Lunar iDXA.

The iDXA provides a direct measurement of an individual’s percentage of lean mass compared to fat. It also gives a dramatic total body image of the skeleton and soft tissue.

Unlike other methods for assessing body composition, the iDXA reports more than just total body fat. It can measure and display the difference between fat and muscle in different parts of the body. For example, it can identify that a person has a high concentration of fat in his arms and needs to work on that trouble area to lose weight.

For more information or to schedule a Total Body Composition Analysis, call (856) 325-3800. No prescriptions required
