Weight-Loss/Bariatric Surgery

A-Z Index

bariatric surgery success

Weight loss is not an easy venture – in fact, only 15% of dieters are able to keep off the weight they lose. For severely obese patients who have 100 pounds or more to lose, weight-loss (bariatric) surgery may be an option.

Virtua is committed to the physical and emotional health of its patients before, during and after surgery. Virtua's bariatric program maintains continued emphasis on the overall well-being and long-term weight loss success of its patients. The focus is to treat the whole patient and travel with them through their journey.

Weight-loss surgery is not just about becoming thinner. It is the springboard to living a healthier lifestyle. Weight-loss surgery can help eliminate health issues such as:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Sleep apnea
  • And more

Weight-loss surgery should not be taken lightly and can be a lifesaving event.
