Virtua receives 2012/2013 Consumer Choice Award
Virtua has been recognized by National Research Corporation (NRC) as one of the nation’s top hospitals. The Consumer Choice Award recognizes hospitals chosen by healthcare consumers as providing the best care and having the best image and reputation in more than 300 markets throughout the country. Virtua is one of the select few in this area to receive the 2012/2013 Consumer Choice Award.
“Our mission is to help people be well, get well and stay well,” said Virtua President & CEO Richard P. Miller. “We are honored to be recognized as a premier healthcare organization for doing just that. This award is a tribute to our employees who work very hard every day to provide outstanding experiences to patients and their families.”
Virtua received the award based on consumer perceptions of multiple quality and image ratings collected in NRC’s Market Insights/Ticker survey. This study surveyed over 250,000 households representing over 450,000 consumers nationwide. The hospitals that patients rated as the most preferred places to receive care based on quality and image were then chosen as Consumer Choice Award winners.
