Donate blood and enter into Super Bowl sweepstakes
Virtua will host a number of community blood drives throughout 2013 to support The Super Community Blood Drive campaign. Anyone who donates between now and January 17, 2014 will be entered to win tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII.
The Super Community Blood Drive was launched by the 2014 New York/New Jersey Super Bowl Host Committee in partnership with the New York Blood Center, American Red Cross Services NY - Penn Region, and the New Jersey Workplace Blood Donor Coalition. The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations in New Jersey and New York.
“We are proud to support this campaign,” says Richard P. Miller, president and CEO of Virtua. “We encourage anyone who is eligible to roll up their sleeves and donate. And who knows … maybe our donations will help the Eagles get to the Super Bowl.”
To be eligible, donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health. Donors must bring a valid photo ID, wear comfortable clothing, and drink more fluids than normal on the day they plan to give blood.
Virtua will be hosting blood drives in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties (locations and dates below).
