Virtua and Penn offer meditation course
Virtua and Penn Medicine are offering an eight-week course on Mindfulness-Based Stress Management at Virtua's Health & Wellness Center - Moorestown (401 Young Avenue, Conference Room, Moorestown, NJ) from January 28 to March 18. The course teaches a variety of meditation techniques that will lead you to relaxation, clarity and stillness.
The eight-week public program provides a thorough introduction to mindfulness meditation that will help you to:
- Reduce stress
- Increase focus and mental clarity
- Improve communication in relationships
- Heal from trauma or distress
- Manage difficult situations
Each course includes 27 hours of class time consisting of eight 2.5-hour weekly classes and a full-day mindfulness-based stress management retreat held on March 10. All class materials are included, including a textbook, written handouts and a series of audio recordings of guided meditation exercises for use at home.
Morning and evening options are available.
