Virtua recognized with Business Expansion Award

Virtua was recently recognized for its continuing growth in the wellness sector of healthcare at the Tri-County Economic Development Summit. As part of the “Eds and Meds” symposium at the Westin Hotel and Conference Center, Virtua received the Business Expansion Award for the development of the new Virtua Health and Wellness Center-Moorestown, slated to open in Fall 2012.
Stephen Kolesk, M.D., Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Virtua Memorial, accepted the award from Burlington County Freeholder, Chris Brown. “The new Virtua Health and Wellness Center-Moorestown strategically positions Virtua’s ability to reach an expanding demographic population deeply rooted in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through fitness related activities,” noted Kolesk.
Virtua broke ground on the $96 million wellness center in the summer, providing construction jobs and, the potential for 300 permanent positions moving forward.
