Virtua receives national recognition for employee engagement
Virtua employees are again ranked #1 nationally in employee engagement, according to a recent survey by an independent human resources and consulting firm.
Employee engagement is essential to providing an outstanding patient and customer experience. It encompasses the employees’ positive attitudes that lead to high productivity and performance, resulting in the success of the organization. In a survey completed by Virtua employees that measured employee engagement, Virtua was listed as number one compared to other large US healthcare systems.
“Our employees work extremely hard to make Virtua a premier healthcare provider— where patients receive the highest clinical quality and safety in a caring culture in technologically advanced medical centers,” said Virtua CEO Richard P. Miller. “Virtua employees are our most important resource and this recognition reinforces that belief.”
HR Solutions, the human resources firm that conducted the survey, helps organizations assess and improve work environments. The firm is an endorsed partner with the American Hospital Association. Virtua was one of over 500 healthcare organizations nationally that participated in the survey.
“This latest recognition continues to affirm Virtua’s commitment to its employees,” stated Ninfa M. Saunders, Virtua President and COO. “Our first priority has always been to create an environment where our employees can succeed and be motivated to deliver an outstanding patient experience. We understand and appreciate that our employees’ compassion and dedication to quality is what makes Virtua a first-class organization.”
