Virtua again ranks number one nationally in employee engagement
For the second year in a row, Virtua took top honors for employee satisfaction and engagement in a recent survey conducted by an independent human resources consulting firm. Virtua ranked number one nationally in employee engagement, employee focus on patient care and overall job satisfaction compared with more than 500 U.S. healthcare organizations. The assessment found that overall job satisfaction for Virtua is 90 percent, which puts the healthcare system in the 97th percentile compared to other healthcare systems in the database.
The study was performed by HR Solutions, a company that helps organizations assess and improve their work environments. The Chicago-based company is an American Hospital Association endorsed partner and recognized leader in providing employee survey instruments and human capital management consulting.
“We are especially proud of our healthcare team and of the caring culture, excellent customer service, high clinical quality and safety that our best people deliver to our patients,” said Richard P. Miller, Virtua CEO. “This is important because engaged employees provide an outstanding patient experience and that results in high patient satisfaction.”
The recognition is the latest in a string of top workplace awards. This fall, Virtua was named the #1 Best Place to Work in the Delaware Valley by the Philadelphia Business Journal in the 1,000-employee plus category for the fifth consecutive year, again placing it in the publication’s Hall of Fame.
