She has dazzled movie audiences with her brilliant roles in critically acclaimed movies as "A League of Their Own" and "Thelma & Louise" as well as the "Accidental Tourist," for which she received an Academy Award. Ms. Davis received a Golden Globe for her small-screen portrayal of the first female president of the United States on the TV show "Commander in Chief." When not on camera, she is a skilled musician, world-class archer and a champion for gender equity. She has founded The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, which focuses on dramatically increasing the percentage of female characters - and reducing gender stereotyping - in movies, TV and other media aimed at children 11 and under.
