“Wellness is an important part of Virtua’s overall strategy for providing care,” said Richard P. The Virtua Health & Wellness Center will include an Immediate Care Center that provides timely and convenient treatment of minor, unexpected injuries and illnesses; a fitness center with a gym, weights, three pools and fitness classes; Virtua in Motion physical therapy and rehabilitation; outpatient nutrition and diabetes management programs; orthopaedics; physician offices and vir tú spa.

“This facility will offer residents a one-stop destination for medical and other personal services,” said Ninfa M. Saunders, Virtua President and COO. “It focuses on the needs of patients as a destination for wellness, diagnosis, care and treatment. Our patients will find ease of access to all services in this new location through Virtua’s Access Center and Patient Navigators who will schedule physician and diagnostic appointments, register for wellness programs and classes, and provide a complete patient itinerary to guide them easily through the process.”

The center will also offer cardiac rehabilitation, diagnostic radiology and women’s breast imaging services such as mammography and ultrasounds. There will also be a café and conference space. Everything has been designed to focus on the needs of the patients and visitors, while maintaining a one-stop concept for all patient needs.
