Philadelphia Business Journal names Virtua a Healthy Workplace winner
The Philadelphia Business Journal named Virtua among 36 employers around the region for going out of its way to encourage physical activity and positive health choices among employees.
Top companies were selected by an eight-person panel made up of Philadelphia Business Journal staff and independent judges. They scored nominations based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative information about company wellness programs and perks. Judges singled out workplaces with abundant fitness ideas, creative wellness programs and incentives that foster healthy lifestyles.
Specific ranks of the winners will be revealed at a ceremony at the Sheraton Center City on June 2 and in a special supplement in the June 4 edition of the Business Journal.
Virtua's "Culture of Wellness" has advanced its role as a leader in providing quality health care to patients, community members and employees.
