Reducing stress is good for your health
Being calm not only feels good, it's beneficial for the body and the mind. But in a stressful world, it's difficult to rise above the stress of work, family obligations, economic issues and just day-to-day responsibilities.
Virtua, in collaboration with the Transformations Holistic Learning Center, presents the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Program. This program is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D., founder of the highly successful Stress Reduction Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. People who participate in this program report improvement in both physical and psychological symptoms. It is recommended for those suffering from pain, stress, heart disease, anxiety and panic disorders, GI distress, fatigue, insomnia and other chronic conditions.
The program is presented by Dr. Christine Molnar, a licensed clinical psychologist, and Molly Giles Walker, a seasoned yoga and meditation practitioner. Both Chris and Molly have completed the most advanced training from the Center for Mindfulness in Massachusetts for instruction of MBSR.
The program is presented:
