Virtua promotes Robert Segin to Executive Vice President of Finance
Robert Segin, CPA, has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Finance at Virtua. Segin retains his role as Chief Financial Officer. Segin has served Virtua, previously West Jersey Health System, for more than 25 years, most recently as Chief Financial Officer. His expanded role includes planning for Virtua’s future growth.

Segin is involved in operations, facility planning and capital funding, including the development of the Virtua Voorhees replacement hospital along Route 73 that opens in 2011. He has led the organization through the process of securing more than $565 million in financing for the state-of-the-art digital hospital. Segin has worked diligently to help Virtua achieve the credit rating that gives the organization greater access to funding for capital projects.

Although I don’t help patients clinically, my role at Virtua helps sustain excellent patient care while maintaining fiscal stability.”
Segin is a certified public accountant in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He serves on the Investment, Finance and Audit & Compliance Committees of the New Jersey Hospital Association and is a committee member with the March of Dimes. Segin was recently honored as a Philadelphia Business Journal 2010 CFO of the Year in the large non-profit category. He received his accounting degree from Penn State University.
