William G. Rohrer Center earns Medical Fitness Facility Certification
Virtua's
William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness in Voorhees is already known for its team of trainers, full-service fitness center and physical therapy services.
Now, the Rohrer Center has earned a distinction that further sets it apart from other fitness centers. Recently, it was awarded the Medical Fitness Facility Certification by the Medical Fitness Association (MFA), the only center in the tri-state region so accredited, and only one of less than a dozen across the country.
"An achievement such as this only occurs as a result of the outstanding efforts of everyone on the team," said
Paula Konstantinides, director of the Rohrer Center. "I am proud of everyone's contribution, both today and throughout the nine years that the center has been open."
The Rohrer Center is a comprehensive fitness center that offers full memberships, as well as massage therapists, a physical therapy center, and physician offices along with a cardiac rehabilitation center.
"Virtua is committed to providing the community with wellness programs that maintain and improve health," said
Richard P. Miller, Virtua President and CEO. "Our team of highly skilled fitness professionals earned this certification through their dedication to health and wellness. We are very proud of this achievement."
The MFA is dedicated solely to medically integrated fitness facilities. As a resource to the medical fitness industry, MFA is focused on medical fitness, and is the first association to have focused on hospital fitness and wellness.
"The MFA seal of approval assures consumers the facility has met the highest quality standards," said MFA Board Chair
Brad A. Roy, Ph.D., FACSM, FACHE. "It will offer consumers appropriate and effective fitness and wellness programming by qualified staff."
