Recently, a mystery spa shopper put her toe in the perfumed spa waters to sample one of the signature services at Vir tú: the couture bath.
What, you ask, is a couture bath?
Here’s what she wrote:
“First I walked into the room noticing a halo glow of soft lighting, smoothing music and infused sweet aromas. I lay back onto the warmed massage table, wrapped in silky sheet and took a deep cleansing breath of the scented oils. Then the exfoliation began. It was like having a facial for my entire body. My back, legs, feet, arms and hands welcomes a new layer of healthy skin cells brought to the surface.
Next, I stepped into the botanical infused waters of the soaking tub. I may as well have been stepping into the seas on a tropical island. No calls, texts, emails -- nothing to do but let the bath salts detoxify my skin. After my serious soak — the icing on the cake … or shall I say the body butter on my skin. I returned to the warmed table, draped in the soft sheets as my skin was massaged with lotion. My cells soaked in all the nutrients of the lotion.
When the treatment was complete, I went back to my life rejuvenated because I was able to put it on pause in a most wonderful way.”
