As a non-profit organization, helping our neighbors stay healthy is part of Virtua's mission. We offer classes to educate people about disease prevention, facilitate support groups and conduct health screenings. Call 1-888-Virtua-3 to learn more. Or sign up for vHealthHighway a bi-monthly e-mail newsletter that delivers health and wellness information right to your inbox.

Virtua's Speakers Bureau offers presenters on a variety of topics. Our physicians, nurses and executives can come to your location and it's FREE. Also, learn about our community outreach.

Free cancer screenings for people who can't afford them
Don't let inadequate health insurance keep you from getting a cancer screening that may save your life. Free screenings for breast, cervical, prostate, and colorectal cancers are offered through the Cancer Education and Early Detection (CEED) program. Funded through the state of New Jersey and the Centers for Disease Control, the program is available at Virtua for eligible residents of Camden and Burlington Counties. To see if you qualify, call 1-888-Virtua-3.

Emergency Cardiovascular Care Courses
Virtua provides clinical training not only for local nurses, paramedics and physicians, but also for the community. If you are interested in a CPR course, call 1-888-Virtua-3. In June 2001, an on-site inspection by the American Heart Association (AHA) awarded Virtua an overall excellent rating with 100% compliance of AHA guidelines and no recommendations for improvement.
