Many women experience mood changes after having a baby.... in the first few weeks after delivery this is considered 'the baby blues' and should improve. If you continue to experience these symptoms, you may have Post Partum Depression.
The (EPDS) is a 10 question screening tool designed specifically to identify the risk of post partum depression. The purpose and intent of the tool is to identify women at risk to reduce to the severity and the length Post Partum Depression though early and effective treatment.
