Your skin is your body’s largest organ, but we often forget to take care of it. Virtua dermatologists evaluate and treat many conditions, so you feel more comfortable in your skin.

Our Approach to Dermatology

Skin conditions can leave you itchy, uncomfortable, or in pain. And they may make you want to hide your skin.

Virtua’s board-certified dermatologists and physician assistants offer medical, surgical, and cosmetic skin care to treat skin issues and enhance how you look and feel. We also provide non-invasive and minimally invasive options to treat and remove skin cancer.

We encourage you to schedule an annual exam with a dermatologist to evaluate and monitor the condition of your skin.

At your first visit, we do a full-body exam to set a baseline, noting every mole, spot, splotch, and bump. Each year, we use that baseline to monitor changes in your skin and spots.

Skin conditions often cause symptoms, such as:

  • Itching
  • Rough, dry, or scaly skin
  • Peeling skin
  • Sores, ulcers, or blisters
  • Rashes
  • Discoloration

If necessary, we biopsy or take a culture of suspicious areas, removing and testing cells to make a diagnosis. We then make a recommendation for treatment and follow-up care.

To minimize the look of wrinkles and renew aging skin, we also offer cosmetic injections like Botox and fillers, as well as chemical peels and laser treatments.
