If you need a blood test or screening, we offer 22 lab locations for your convenience. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome!
Blood tests and screenings are essential for evaluating your health. Virtua’s outpatient labs offer appointments and early morning hours. Some locations offer Saturday hours for your convenience.
Our Approach to Lab Testing
Outpatient lab services provide essential information to clinicians. The results of your tests determine the best course of treatment and care. At Virtua, our goal is to ensure your care team receives fast, accurate results to assist in your journey.
Every Virtua lab features a team of specially trained phlebotomists performing thousands of tests each year. Once your blood sample is collected, it's analyzed by our in-house technical staff. Special tests may be sent to our certified, third-party laboratory partners.
As soon as we evaluate your results, an electronic report will be sent to your team.
While walk-ins are welcomed, we highly recommend making an appointment ahead of time. This will reduce your wait time and improve your overall lab experience.
Here's how you can prepare for your upcoming lab appointment:
- Bring your physician’s order for your test(s).
- Follow your physician’s instructions for fasting. For some tests, you might need to fast for 12 hours before the specimen is collected. However, drinking water is always okay.
- Bring your insurance information for verification at each visit.
