Twenty members of the Philadelphia Flyers brought smiles to the faces of Virtua patients during their visit to Virtua Voorhees on Thursday, December 16. Groups of players went from room to room visiting nearly 60 adult and pediatric patients throughout the hospital. They also visited 80 children at Virtua’s Child Development Center.
“We are very appreciative that the players, after arriving home from Montreal late the night before, would take the time to visit our patients,” says Richard Miller, Virtua CEO. “They posed for pictures, signed autographs and even held a few newborn babies. It’s one more reason why Virtua is proud to partner with the Flyers organization.”
Virtua is the Official Orthopaedic Provider of the Philadelphia Flyers and is the proud sponsor the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zones in Voorhees and Pennsauken.
