Breastfeeding Resource Center at Virtua - Lactation Consultations
Lactation consultations help breastfeeding mothers and babies overcome problems, and offer support to reach their breastfeeding goals.
At Virtua Health, our experienced board-certified lactation consultants offer private, in-person or telehealth lactation consultations.

Following are challenges that usually can be addressed in a 60-minute lactation consultation or a telehealth consultation:
- Questions about pumping and milk supply
- Minimal weight gain in the first few weeks after birth
- Sore or damaged nipples
- Breast engorgement
- Calming a fussy baby
- Returning to work and strategies to continue breastfeeding
- Nursing multiples or other challenging situations
If possible please try not to feed the baby before the appointment so the lactation consultant can assess the latch and the feeding during the appointment.
Consultations are offered by appointment at the Breastfeeding Resource Center on the campus of Virtua Voorhees Hospital at 100 Bowman Drive, Voorhees. (Park in Lot B). If you can’t register online, please call 888-847-8823.
Fee: $45
Same day cancellations and NO Shows will be charged a $45 administration fee. Payment is due prior to appointment. One of our navigators will contact you prior to your appointment to confirm and collect payment.
