Nicole Lamborne, MD, MBA

Nicole Lamborne, MD, MBA, is senior vice president for Virtua Health and president of Virtua Marlton Hospital and Virtua Voorhees Hospital. In this role, she provides strategic and operational leadership for both hospitals, overseeing quality, patient experience, growth, and day-to-day operations. She also guides Virtua’s women’s and children’s services across the health system.

A respected physician leader in women’s and children’s health, Dr. Lamborne brings more than a decade of administrative and operational experience to her position. Prior to becoming hospital president, she served as vice president of clinical operations for women’s and children’s services, providing enterprise leadership across multiple hospitals and outpatient settings. In that role, she was responsible for clinical quality and safety, physician engagement, workforce strategy, and program development, working closely with hospital presidents, chief nursing officers, and other system leaders to advance Virtua’s strategic priorities.

Throughout her career, Dr. Lamborne has helped strengthen Virtua’s reputation as a regional and national leader in maternal and child health. She also led the launch of New Jersey’s first hospital-owned freestanding midwifery birth center and established an OB/GYN physician residency program whose inaugural class achieved a 100% board-certification pass rate.

Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Lamborne earned her medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her residency at Cooper Hospital/University Medical Center. She later earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from the University of Scranton. Dr. Lamborne is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
