EMS Continuing Education

Virtua offers quality continuing education programs to the pre-hospital community and the public safety sector, including police, fire, EMS, and communications personnel. EMT core and elective classes are held regularly to facilitate provider recertification.

Students must pre-pay for classes in full by credit card, check, money order or purchase order. No seats will be reserved without full payment.

All course registrations must be submitted to the EMS Education Office by phone (888-VIRTUA-3) or via the online classes & events form. No fax registrations will be accepted. Available seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration must be received at least 10 business days prior to the course start date. Contact information is:

No refunds or credits will be issued for incomplete coursework, failures or absences.

Student substitutions for a particular course are permitted up to 1 business day prior to scheduled course date without penalty. The EMS Education Department must be notified of and approve, any substitutions.

Cancellations will only be permitted 10 or more days before the course start date. A full refund, if applicable, will be issued for permitted cancellations. No refunds or credits will be issued for cancellation requests received less then 10 days prior to the course start date.

The Virtua EMS Education Department reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to lack of pre-registered student enrollment. Should it be necessary to cancel or reschedule a class, notification will be done ten business days prior to the course start date at which time a full refund, if applicable, will be issued. The Virtua EMS Education Department reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course due to unforeseen circumstances (like inclement weather) at any time. A full refund, if applicable, will be issued in these cases.

MORE (Medical Oversight Review and Education) squads will be invoiced for HALF of the class fee for their students who enroll in a class but then don't attend.
