Sarah Fawcett-Lee, FAHP, CRFE

Sarah Fawcett-Lee, FAHP, CFRE, is the senior vice president and chief philanthropy officer for Virtua. In this role, she implements philanthropy initiatives across the health system to increase charitable support for Virtua’s array of programs and services. Sarah has spent her entire career in philanthropy, including more than 20 years in the healthcare industry.

Before joining Virtua, she served for six years as a regional vice president at MedStar Health in Maryland. Previously, she was vice president for philanthropy at Mercy Health Services and director of major gifts for the Sheppard Pratt Health System—both in Baltimore.

A certified fundraising executive and a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, Fawcett-Lee earned a master’s degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. She is a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Maryland Chapter, and has been a faculty member and assistant dean of the Madison Institute, an annual certificate program offered by the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, since 2014.
