Virtua Health College of Medicine & Life Sciences of Rowan University formed in 2021 through a unique academic health partnership between Rowan University, a top 100 public research institution, and Virtua Health, South Jersey’s largest health system.
Driven by empowerment, excellence and inclusion, the two organizations are impacting the health of New Jersey residents and beyond through clinical care, research and education.
Together, we are national leaders in innovation with an unwavering focus on improving health and empowering the well-being of everybody we teach and everyone we reach.

Our aspiration is to have students, faculty and researchers work in an inclusive team environment, utilizing collective intelligence and humanity to guide the excellence they pursue. As a vibrant multidisciplinary college on the campus of a major university, affiliated with a local academic health system, we plan to be intentional in how we prepare for and care for all humankind.
