Here at Virtua, we want you to know how valuable you are, right from your very first day:

  • Full-time and benefit-eligible part-time employees can participate in the 401(k) on day one of employment (RN retirement benefits are provided in accordance with nursing union contracts)
  • Full-time and benefit-eligible part-time employees receive most benefits on the first day of the month following date of hire

Flexible Spending Accounts

Child Development Center - Voorhees

When you work for Virtua, finding quality child care is convenient and affordable. At the Virtua Child Development Center (CDC), you’ll have access to an early childhood program, preschool and full-day kindergarten. Our 39-member staff collectively has over 340 years of education experience. And because our CDC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, you can rest assured your child is experiencing a curriculum that’s research-backed and developmentally appropriate. Here’s a look at what the CDC provides:

Weight Watchers at Work

On Kelly’s 50th birthday, her Virtua coworkers recognized her weight loss with posters reading, "Kelly is 50, Fit and Fabulous"—it’s this kind of support to which Kelly credits many of her health and wellness successes. Despite considerable personal achievement, Kelly believes losing 37 pounds was a team effort. Yet Kelly has also been a source of inspiration for others, paving the way for colleagues, friends and family alike. Thanks to Kelly’s efforts through a variety of Virtua Wellness Programs, including Weight Watchers at Work and the Walk/Run Challenge, she is empowered to rely on herself to manage her health as opposed to medication—and that’s made all the difference.

Smoking Cessation & Weight Watchers at Work

Virtua has opened many doors to wellness and health for Jill, which she’s successfully and proudly walked through—ranging from smoking cessation to Weight Watchers at Work to the Walk/Run Challenge. Jill was inspired to finally kick her 20-year habit by the Virtua tobacco-free environment. Jill freed herself from an addiction that used to dictate her life, and has now embraced health and wellness—and really sees a difference both at work and at home. Partnering in these efforts with Virtua coworkers as well as her husband, John, Jill has taken vital steps down a new wellness path and couldn’t be happier about it.
