Postpartum depression support
After you have your baby, you may feel sad or have a hard time adjusting to the responsibilities of motherhood. If you do, you are not alone; upwards of 80 percent of new moms experience the “baby blues,” and Virtua is here to help.

Virtua offers postpartum depression telephone support from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. For information or referrals, call (866) 380-2229. In an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

When you’re pregnant, keeping your loved ones updated on the health of you and your baby can be time consuming and stressful. That’s why Virtua partners with CaringBridge to offer free, personalized web pages, so you can update all your friends and family at one time.

With CaringBridge, you can easily:

  • Receive messages from loved ones

Classes and support groups
Virtua offers a variety of maternity and parenting classes and support groups for moms, dads and grandparents. The classes and support groups range from prenatal yoga and labor basics to breastfeeding and postpartum depression support. Those who teach the classes and support groups are registered nurses, certified lactation consultants and trained educators with expertise in the areas of birth and child care.

Prenatal massage
