Video: Holly's Kitchen - Cooking with cocoa
Dark chocolate’s healthy, right? Sure - but cocoa powder’s really where it’s at, and we’re showing you how you can add it to everything from salad to steak.
Natural unsweetened cocoa powder is the healthiest form of chocolate because it has the highest level of cocoa flavonols, which are powerful antioxidants. Cocoa powder's powers can help you:
Get healthy: Dark chocolate and cocoa powder can increase good (HDL) cholesterol levels and help with cognitive functioning.
Get happy: Chocolate's naturally occurring serotonin and dopamine are potent antidepressants.
Feel love: Chocolate also prompts pleasure because it contains phenylethylamine, a natural pain reliever.
Get a container of dark or regular cocoa powder and get creative in the kitchen with these recipes.
