When Linda was only 34 years old, she unexpectedly got news that no young woman without children should get. Linda needed a total hysterectomy, a surgery that turned her life upside down.

After the procedure, Linda immediately experienced the debilitating side effects of a surgically induced menopause: insomnia, weight gain, loss of libido, headaches, mood swings, night sweats, and lack of concentration.

Overnight, Linda’s life had changed for the worse. She began her quest — searching for remedies — to combat the symptoms that would last for more than 26 years.

Then, at age 60, fate stepped in to change Linda’s life once again.

One day, while working out at the William G. Rohrer Center for HealthFitness, Linda passed a poster with a headline that read: “Recapture Your Youthful Vitality with exuberan.” It was referring to Virtua’s bio-identical hormone replacement therapy program. Linda attended an exuberan informational session and, soon after, she made
an appointment to receive her first bio-identical hormone pellet implant.

“Anyone suffering from the symptoms of surgical menopause, peri-menopause, or medical menopause, such as Linda, should speak with their family physician or OB/GYN about bio-identical hormone replacement therapy,” explains William Miller, DO, internist. “Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy could alleviate the symptoms that stop people from enjoying life.”

Linda says: “Within a week of my first appointment, I began to feel the effects of the therapy. I started sleeping better than ever before, my spirit lifted, my body felt better. I realized that this is what ‘normal’ people feel like. The emotional and physical resurrection opened my eyes to how numb I had become.”

The benefits went even further. At her nephew’s recent wedding — thanks to the pound-shedding effects that some women experience on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy — Linda danced in a stunning couture dress that belonged to her mother.

“That day, there were only two dresses that were talked about, mine and, of course, the bride's,” beams Linda.
