Multimedia podcast addresses crucial lessons from 2020 and shared hopes for 2021

Two of the region’s most respected and established health care executives joined their peer and personal friend, Virtua Health President and CEO Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE, on the latest episode of his “Here for Good” podcast.

“I have known Ken Samet and Jack Lynch for years; in fact, both were my boss at different points in my career,” Pullin said. “It was hugely rewarding to ‘talk shop’ with them for the podcast and compare notes on how each of us strives to advance wellness as health care executives.”

The podcast – out now and available in both audio and video formats – provides rare insights into the ups, downs, challenges, and triumphs of leading a complex health care organization, particularly during a public health crisis. Many topics, such as navigating economic uncertainty and advancing change, transcend industry and are relevant to a wide professional audience.

The podcast guests are:

John J. (Jack) Lynch III, FACHE: Lynch has served as president and CEO of Main Line Health since 2005, providing executive leadership to suburban Philadelphia’s most comprehensive health care system.

Kenneth (Ken) Samet, FACHE: Since 2008, Samet has led MedStar Health as president and CEO. MedStar Health is the largest health care provider in Maryland and the Washington, D.C., region.

“Jack and Ken are textbook examples of what it means to lead with integrity, purpose, and a commitment to serving others,” said Pullin. “I have learned much from them through the years, and I think podcast listeners will walk away with invaluable lessons as well.”

Since its debut one year ago, the Here for Good podcast has allowed leaders from all walks of life to discuss how they advance health, wellness, and kindness in their community. In addition to health care experts, past guests include elected officials, television commentators, philanthropists, and even three Rhodes Scholars.

The eHealthcare Leadership Awards honored Here for Good with a 2020 Best Health Care Podcast Award. In October 2020, Rocket Social Impact recommended Here for Good as a top podcast “that address social issues and strategies for a better tomorrow.”
