March 3, 2021 - Virtua Health announces the promotions of Rhonda Jordan and Stephanie Fendrick to executive vice president roles. Jordan has been named executive vice president and chief human resources officer and Fendrick has been named executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

Pullin, FACHE.

Rhonda Jordan brings more than 30 years of outstanding human resources experience, 24 of them at Virtua. She has implemented systems and solutions in the areas of employee and labor relations, organizational effectiveness, and performance management. Certified as a senior HR professional through the Society for Human Resource Management, she has been instrumental in the identification of high performers and high-potential leaders, and in executive and developmental coaching. In 2019, following the coming together of Virtua Health and Lourdes Health System, Jordan led the introduction of an exciting and renewed culture — the Culture of WE — and the launch of a more in-depth and comprehensive inclusion, diversity and equity initiative. Jordan is a steadfast advocate of women in leadership positions and often serves as a panelist for organizations and industry conferences, including for Junior Achievement and Rutgers University. In 2019, Jordan was profiled in New Jersey Business magazine as part of its “NJ Women in Business” feature.

Jordan has held human resources management and leadership positions in other health care and retail industries, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She earned her undergraduate degree from Lamar University and received a master’s degree in performance improvement and training from Capella University. Jordan is Six Sigma green-belt trained and star coach certified. She is a master coach and is certified through the Success Unlimited Network. Jordan serves on the board of Junior Achievement of New Jersey. She is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., serving on various committees.

Stephanie Fendrick brings more than 25 years in the health care industry to her executive oversight for Virtua’s service-line strategy, key partnerships – including clinical collaborations with Penn Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – and enterprise-wide growth initiatives. Over the years, she has accelerated Virtua’s reputation and advancement through significant leadership positions. Most recently, as lead of the integration management office, Fendrick was key in the successful integration of Virtua Health and Lourdes Health System. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, Fendrick was named a Woman of Distinction by Philadelphia Business Journal in 2019.

Before joining Virtua, Fendrick started her career at Christiana Care as an administrative resident, followed by roles in quality and operations before stepping out of the workforce for a few years to focus on her young family. She is a coach certified for Six Sigma and green-belt trained. She also completed the Health Management Academy GE Fellowship program for senior executives. Fendrick earned her bachelor’s degree at Franklin and Marshall College and her MBA with a concentration in health services from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business. She has served on the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Committee for many years, including as chair of the Go Red for Women Luncheon in 2018. Fendrick served on the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Board and recently joined the Counseling Committee of the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Board of Directors.
