“Here for Good” health system is one of 19 “Level 10” awardees in the United States

For the 12th consecutive year, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named Marlton-based Virtua Health a “Most Wired” health system. Additionally, Virtua earned distinction as a Level 10 health system, which is CHIME’s top honor. Only 19 U.S. hospitals/health systems received Level 10 recognition.

Most Wired celebrates information technology (I.T.) divisions that drive the health care industry. Tom Gordon, senior vice president and chief information officer for South Jersey’s largest health system, has led Virtua’s I.T. division for more than a decade.

Among the more than 55,000 facilities represented by CHIME’s annual survey, Virtua Health ranked above its peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement. The CHIME program assesses the adoption, integration, and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, whether in early development or leading the industry.

Virtua Health has been a Most Wired health system for 15 nonconsecutive years. This year marks Virtua’s first time as a Level 10, having earned Level 9 distinction every year since CHIME introduced the rating system in 2019.
