Virtua Hospitals Earn High Marks for Patient Safety
November 13, 2025 - Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades Released for Fall 2025
Virtua Health is proud to announce that all five of its hospitals earned high marks in the newly released Fall 2025 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades. Virtua Marlton and Virtua Voorhees Hospitals received “A” ratings, while Virtua Mount Holly, Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, and Virtua Willingboro Hospitals each earned a solid “B.”
Updated twice annually, Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades evaluate nearly 3,000 general acute-care hospitals nationwide. Widely regarded as the gold standard for patient safety, the grades are based on up to 30 performance measures from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, and other data sources. These metrics combine to produce a single letter grade reflecting a hospital’s success in protecting patients from preventable harm and medical errors.
“At Virtua, our dedicated professionals place the safety of every patient and team member at the heart of everything we do,” said Jennifer Khelil, DO, MBA, executive vice president and chief clinical officer of Virtua Health. “The Leapfrog Safety Grades offer valuable insights that help us continually elevate the quality of care we provide.”
