COVID-19 Testing Options – Updated 1/5/2022

We want everyone to protect themselves against COVID-19. Remember to wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart, and get your booster. Stay home if you are sick. Right now, Virtua Health testing options are limited to patients who currently have symptoms. Virtua Health’s Emergency Departments (and Urgent Care Centers) do not serve as community testing sites and do not provide COVID-19 testing for asymptomatic individuals. 

Virtua Health offers by-appointment-only COVID-19 testing at one location in Voorhees (the exact address is provided upon confirmation of an appointment). Testing is limited to patients who currently have symptoms and live in Burlington, Camden, or Gloucester counties.

Virtua Health Drive-Through Testing:
If you're experiencing symptoms and think you may have COVID-19, Virtua is offering drive-through PCR testing by appointment only. Schedule a testing appointment here; availability is limited.

If you are sick and need care, see your primary care clinician or visit urgent care remotely or in person.

  • Available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
  • Holiday Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. 
  • Online care; no appointment needed
  • Patients whose symptoms indicate they may have COVID-19 may be referred for testing

Virtua Urgent Care Centers:
  • Available Monday to Friday, , 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.; Sat. & Sun., 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
  • Holiday Hours: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Walk-ins; no appointment needed
  • Patients who are seen for evaluation of COVID-19 symptoms may be referred for testing

If you are scheduled for surgery at a Virtua location, if applicable, you will be referred for a COVID testing appointment. Please refer to the instructions provided by your care team.

Reminder: At this time, we are NOT able to test those without symptoms. Check the N.J. Department of Health website or your local county health department for other testing options if you're looking for tests prior to or after travel, or if you suspect you may have had a second- or third-hand exposure but aren't experiencing any symptoms.
