Virtua's 8-week plant-based wellness program helps people suffering from, or at risk for, chronic disease to adopt a plant-based diet.


A plant-based lifestyle helps reduce or eliminate the need for medications, prevent diabetes, lower blood pressure and cholesterol, reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke, and helps people shed unwanted pounds.

THE PROGRAM IN 1-2-3 STEPS

step1

PRE-ASSESSMENT

A registered dietitian and fitness specialist assess your current readiness to change, your behaviors and your current physical condition. Medical clearance may be required.


step2

WEEKLY GROUP MEETINGS - 2 hours

You participate in weekly nutrition sessions to track your weight and progress, followed by 45 minutes of supervised exercise. During the 8-week program, you have access to Virtua's fitness center, to work out whenever you choose. You attend cooking demonstrations to inspire your plant-based eating.

POST-ASSESSMENT

You attend a fitness post-assessment and nutrition wrap-up class to highlight your success and discuss next steps in your nutrition and fitness journey.
