Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, N.J., and Virtua Voorhees (N.J.) Hospital have been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 Best Hospitals edition as “High Performing” for seven different conditions or procedures. U.S. News includes Virtua Marlton Hospital in its evaluation of Virtua Voorhees.

This is the highest distinction a hospital can earn from the U.S. News Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings. Fewer than half of the thousands of hospitals evaluated earned a High Performing designation from U.S. News.

“The U.S. News ratings, along with other honors, accreditations, and patient reviews, help people make informed decisions about where to receive care. At Virtua, we are committed to being the trusted choice for outstanding, compassionate care for the people of South Jersey and beyond,” said John Matsinger, DO, MBA, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Marlton-based Virtua Health.

Virtua hospitals received the High Performing designation in specific areas based on objective measures, such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and patient experience. Part of the Virtua Health academic health system, the hospitals earned the U.S. News distinction in the following areas.

Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes:

Separately, in its most recent maternity-care rankings, U.S. News designated all three Virtua hospitals offering maternity services—Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, Virtua Voorhees, and Virtua Mount Holly—as high-performing for maternity care.

“When patients face a major surgery or a chronic medical condition, having access to clear, quality data is vital,” said Ben Harder, managing editor and chief of health analysis for U.S. News. “A High Performing rating means that Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes and Virtua Voorhees/Marlton outperformed a national threshold, giving families a reliable starting point as they consult with their doctors to choose the best place for care.”

U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions.

Earlier this year, Virtua was ranked the top health care brand in New Jersey for the second consecutive year, and the eighth most compassionate brand nationwide. Forbes named Virtua a top 10 health care organization last fall. And 14 of Virtua’s affiliated ambulatory surgery centers are included on U.S. News’s 2026 list of the best ASCs.
