Virtua Health Earns Spot on Modern Healthcare's 'Best Places to Work' List

May 19, 2023 - Virtua Health is one of two New Jersey-based organizations named to Modern Healthcare magazine’s 2023 national list of “Best Places to Work in Healthcare.” The recognition program honors employers that empower the workforce and provide consumers with outstanding experiences.

Placement on the prestigious list is based primarily on employee surveys. Modern Healthcare partners with Workforce Research Group to issue the surveys and assess the resulting data. In addition to featuring health systems like Virtua, the list also includes insurers, suppliers, and other segments of the health care industry. View the full list here

“Virtua embraces a ‘Culture of WE’ in which colleagues feel supported in being their best and appreciate how their individual contributions support a greater good,” said Rhonda Jordan, SHRM-SCP, executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Marlton, N.J.-based Virtua. “To earn a spot on Modern Healthcare’s list among such esteemed company is an honor.”

Previously, Virtua has appeared on the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” list on 16 occasions. Virtua has also been among Forbes’ “Best-In-State Employers” each year since that program launched in 2019.

Earlier this week, a comprehensive study listed Virtua among the top 50 health care brands in the U.S.

“The Virtua workforce is a community of diverse people united by the desire to provide our neighbors with comprehensive, quality, compassionate health care,” said Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE, president and CEO of Virtua, South Jersey’s largest health system. “Recognition like this reaffirms that we attract and retain top talent, and that we are ‘Here for Good’ for those we serve.”
