Virtua Ambulatory Surgery Centers Named Among Americas Best for 2026

October 23, 2025 - Joint-Venture Centers in NJ and PA Honored for Excellence in Outpatient Care

October 23, 2025

Virtua Health is proud to announce that 18 of its ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) have been ranked among Newsweek’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2026. Of the 5,000 centers analyzed nationwide, only 700 earned a spot on the list. Virtua’s joint-venture centers include 17 in New Jersey and one in Pennsylvania.

Ambulatory surgery centers play a vital role in the U.S. healthcare system. These specialized facilities offer the convenience of same-day care for procedures that do not require an overnight stay while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. With more than 6,000 Medicare-certified ASCs performing tens of millions of procedures annually, choosing the right facility can be challenging. To support informed decision-making, Newsweek partners with global data firm Statista each year to identify America’s top-performing ASCs for outpatient surgical care. This year’s ranking features 700 top-performing ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) nationwide.

The 2026 rankings were determined through a rigorous evaluation model based on four key pillars: clinical quality metrics, peer recommendations, patient experience, and formal accreditations.

“We are immensely proud that 18 Virtua ASCs have been named to Newsweek’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers list,” said Barry Graf, senior vice president of partnerships and business development at Virtua Health. “This recognition reflects our unwavering commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care. Being honored year after year gives our patients peace of mind—they know they will receive outstanding care and outcomes at Virtua ASCs.”
