Question of the Week

How can I protect myself or my partner from HIV?

PrEP, or pre-exposure prophylaxis, is a daily pill or bi-monthly injection designed for people who have not been exposed to the HIV virus. PrEP has been proven to reduce the risk of contracting HIV by up to 99%. PeP, or post-exposure prophylaxis, is a medication that can be taken within a 72-hour window after a known exposure to HIV.
